My coworkers were great. Only a couple of them tried to have conversations with me and then realized I couldn’t hear…after gently reminding them 
. Most waved, sent me texts, IM’s, or emails. It was a smooth transition into a temporary world.
I keep finding myself wanting to reach back behind my ear and turn on my hearing aid. Then I remember…it ain’t there and it won’t help! 
3 weeks from today I will have my new ear turned on. We are anticipating great things!
Oh – also had lunch with my parents at their house. They communicated quite well by writing things down or making funny expressions. Eggs-a-la-goldenrod and smoked white fish were on the menu today! Could NOT have been any better!
